-Any music is fine, release form required.
Leucadia Farmer's Market Update:
@11AM-1:30PM, Every Sunday.
-The Farmer's Market is willing to pay $40 each day we participate there, however, we must play for the entire duration designated. It also provides us with an opportunity to advertise our club and possibly fundraise in other means, like selling CDs.
Holiday Bazaar:
@4PM-6PM, December 12th, in Encinitas.
-Annual Event, have expressed interest in our participation.
Luna Festival Update:
@2:30PM-3:15PM, this Sunday.
-The upcoming Luna Fest will be one of our first major events! The required time slots are filled, and they are asking all participants to wear purple in support of the event. Electricity will be available.

I just wanted to let you all know of an opportunity to play at sda this week.
The writing club is hosting an Open Mic this Thursday at 6:00pm and invited us to come and participate. They said 5mins is generally the allotted time to have the Mic; so if you would like to perform a song or two, please feel free to attend the Open Mic this Thursday at 6:00pm in the Library.
Thanks guys! See you at lunch on Thursday in the band room computer lab!

Our first gig!

We have the opportunity to play before a line of concerts called "Music by the Sea." We have 20 minute time slots for each gig (7- 7:20 pm), so first come first serve for sign ups. Each concert is at the Encinitas library, and we would play at the west patio outside the performance room. To give each person a fair chance of playing, we will start by signing up for one time slot of 5 minutes, and if the slots aren't filling up, you may sign up for a second 5 minutes. You will be able to sign up in a few days, take the time to go home and check your calendar for possible availability.

Welcome to the San Dieguito Academy Music Club's new blog!  The club was founded at the beginning of the 2015-16 school year with the intent of creating a platform through which all SDA musicians, regardless of musical ability, area of interest, and band involvement, can find opportunities to volunteer and perform.  Expect this blog to eventually be filled with all the latest happenings of our club.  For the time being, have fun, keep practicing, and remember the words of Beethoven!
